The Sales Representative plays an important role in the growth and success of the Nutrien Solutions business.

What will you do:

  • Manage and develop a customer base within a geographical area that includes Pennsylvania, New York, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine.

  • Identify potential customers and handle existing customer relationships.

  • Build relationships and increase sales.

  • Provide accurate and label directed information for the industrial weed control market.

  • Sell into industrial vegetation markets such as the noxious weed market, roadside, utility weed and brush, rangeland, and bareground.

  • Monitor customer and competitor activity and industry trends.

  • Protect, grow and diversify the relationship with targeted customers.

  • Remain up-to-date with product knowledge and share knowledge with customers

  • Support business growth by conducting face to face sales calls and product/market development.

  • Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision. This is a remote sales position that requires problem solving skills, self-reliance, and teamwork.

  • Lead and perform work the Nutrien Way - engaging in corporate, policies, programs and practices, including SH&E regulations and standards, to bring our Culture of Care to life

  • Perform other related duties, as required

What will you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in agronomy, weed science, rangeland management, forestry or related discipline required; experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • 3+ years' experience required, preference is 5+ years, in experience in the noxious weed, industrial weed control industry, or forestry industry.

  • Proven ability to influence, develop, and retain business relationships.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, outstanding communication capabilities, and the ability to influence others at all organizational levels. Ability to work effectively with other groups in the organization to achieve a common goal.

  • Well-rounded knowledge of industrial weed control products, rangeland herbicides and practices.

  • Highly self-motivated.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent time management skills.

  • The highest ethical standards and sense of accountability.

  • Strong computer skills.

  • Clear and effective decision making.

  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively (estimated to be 30-40%) with company vehicle provided. Must live in the region or be willing to relocate to the region.

Compensation & Benefits:

The estimated salary that Indeed, Glassdoor and LinkedIn suggested does not represent Nutrien's compensation structure.

$85,000 - $140,000/annually. This range is estimated for a Sales Representative in the States of Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania, and Vermont. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.

In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan and long-term incentive plan, consistent with the terms of our program(s) where discretionary pay out of awards is reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee. Details will be discussed through the application process.
