We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech Therapist to join our team at our Moline outpatient clinic. As a Speech Therapist, you will work with patients of all ages, providing assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for speech and language disorders. Your role will involve collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop personalized therapy plans and achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

Demonstrated competence in recognizing and responding to patients physical, mental, emotional and developmental needs should be evaluated in relation to the patient populations served as appropriate for each responsibility. Provides treatment for a variety of communicative, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. Prepares documentation including initial evaluations, periodic progress notes, and discharge summaries on all patients assigned to them. Responsible for submission of patient charges on a daily basis. Demonstrates an understanding of department Continuous Quality Improvement program, participates in the collection of data and performs peer review. Provides speech pathology services to agencies/facilities that contract for such services through Trinity Medical Center. Confers with patients, relatives, physicians, and other members of the Rehabilitation Staff. Knows fire, disaster, and safety procedures and regulations as explained in formal employee orientation and as pertains to each work area.


Qualifications

Master's degree from an approved school of Speech Therapy.KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES & SKILLS: Must be able to analyze complex therapyproblems and take appropriate actions. Must have interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively with patients, families, medical staff, and hospital personnel. Must be able to perform a wide variety of professional services. LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS: Must have Certification of Clinical Competency issued by the American Speech, Language, and Hearing Association (ASHA). Must have current IL and/or IA state license.
