LSSI is hiring a full-time Child Welfare Specialistthat will provide services for the Moline office, Monday through Friday 9:00AM-5:00PM (varies).Provides the fullcasework servicesto assurethesafetyandwell-beingofchildren byassisting families tomeetminimum parenting standards.Service provision is in compliance withstatemandates, COA standards, agency policies, andprogram plans.

Essential Functions:
  • Complete andsubmit allrequiredreports,documentation, andbillingaccurately andtimelyas required by agency and funding sources.
  • Participatein supervisory processforguidance,direction,support,andapprovalofdecision making,assessment,service planning andintervention.Present cases forstaffingand conduct family-child team meetings.
  • Coordinateandcollaborate withother serviceproviders, schools,andhealthcarefacilitiesto promote the child(ren)'s well-being.
  • Assessfamilyserviceneeds.
  • Providelinkagetocommunity resources toremediateproblemsandpreventabuseorneglect and verify participation.
  • Ensurechildsafetyandwell-beingduringservicedelivery.
  • Providestrength-basedcasemanagement to facilitatethe resolutionofminortomoderate challenges contributing to risk to children.
  • Advocacywithmedicalorgovernmentalinstitutions.
Position Qualifications:
In addition to a real passion for working with at-risk children and families, this opportunity requires:
  • Bachelor'sdegreeinsocialworkordegreeinrelatedhumanservicesfieldrequired.
  • Previouschildwelfareexperiencestronglydesired.
  • Statelicensing/certificationasrequiredby thestateof IllinoisDepartment of Childrenand Family Services.
  • Backgroundcheckclearance,bothcriminalandCANTS.
  • Basicunderstanding ofWord,Excel,SharePoint, etc.andwillingnesstolearnothersystemsused by LSSI.
  • Demonstrated abilitytocommunicate inaclear, comprehensiblemanner,bothverbally andinwriting.
  • Validdriver'slicense,ingoodstandingforthestateofresidencyrequired.
  • Accessto reliabletransportation.
  • ProofofvalidILstatutoryminimumliabilityinsurancecoveragerequired.
