Responsibilities

Management and Leadership

  • Staffing Responsibilities in conjunction with the Clinical Specialists/Leads
  • Identifies and recommends improvement opportunities.
  • Monitor departmental time-keeping on a daily basis.
  • Assist HR in the annual verification of all staff licensing.
  • Resource and Revenue Enhancement Use
  • Satisfaction- Patient, Physician, Work Environment
  • Coach employee's real time to achieve desired performance out comes.
  • Assist with orientation of staff to be successful.
  • Identifies variance performance expectation and provides feedback
  • Assists Director in the evaluation process of all employees.
  • Engages employees in participating in ongoing personal and departmental development

Patient Care

  • Identifies and resolves process or service problems/issues on a real time basis.
  • Resolves any customer satisfaction issues that arise.
  • Identifies, recommends and implements initiatives to improve satisfaction.
  • Models behavior for meeting/exceeding the National Patient Safety Goals

Quality Improvement

  • Models behavior for meeting/exceeding performance targets
  • Implements organizational strategies to achieve desired customer service outcomes.
  • Assures performance is consistent with established quality targets.
  • Ensures comprehensive understanding, adherence to and compliance with all state, federal and local regulatory laws.
  • Identifies and resolves quality problems/issues real time.
  • Presents opportunities for quality improvement to department Director.
  • Identifies recommends and implements safety improvement initiatives.
  • Assures equipment is maintained in proper working condition
  • Defines and implements priorities to achieve financial targets

Qualifications

Education:

  • Graduate accredited Radiology program

Experience:

  • Minimum of five years' experience intrinsic knowledge of radiology services in a hospital setting.

License(s)/Certification(s):

  • Valid driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons
  • Holds a current license with the Illinois Emergency Management Agency and/or the Iowa Department of Public Health (Registered Radiologic Technologist)
